Horse-size saddle pads fit very well on size D ponies. You can therefore choose a "Horse / D Pony" size saddle pad rather than a pony size.

Pro Tip

A well-fitting saddle pad should follow the line of the horse's back without pulling or creasing, clearly clear the wither once the saddle is girthed, and remain stable during work without sliding back or turning. It should not create any extra bulk under the saddle panels or extend excessively beyond the saddle. After the session, even sweating, without marked dry patches or rubbing, is an excellent indicator: it signals correct pressure distribution and optimal comfort for the horse.
