Pro Tip

A well-fitting saddle pad should follow the line of the back without pulling or wrinkling, clearly clear the withers once the saddle is girthed, and remain stable during work without slipping back or rotating. It should not create any extra bulk under the saddle panels or extend excessively beyond the saddle. After the session, even perspiration, without marked dry spots or chafing, is an excellent indicator: it is a sign of correct pressure distribution and optimal comfort for the horse.
