To ensure effective protection and optimal comfort, it's essential to choose splint boots adapted to the horse's leg morphology.

The boot should properly cover the tendons without extending over the knee or fetlock, so as not to hinder natural movements.

Once in place, check that the boot is well-centered and flat against the leg, without creating pressure points. The fasteners should be adjusted firmly but comfortably: the boot should not twist or slip, while allowing for good air circulation.

Finally, walk the horse a few steps to ensure the boot stays in position and doesn't cause any rubbing. A good fit guarantees safety, freedom of movement, and equipment longevity.
