• Spur placement

The spur should be placed just above the heel, centered at the back of the boot. The branch should be horizontal, pointing backward, without pointing down or out. A well-positioned spur acts with a slight ankle movement, without lifting the heel or stiffening the leg.

• Strap adjustment

Pass the strap through the eyelets of the spur, then fasten it on the outside of the boot. The strap should be adjusted firmly but not tightly, to prevent the spur from rotating while allowing the ankle to move freely. A strap that is too tight restricts the ankle; if too loose, the spur becomes imprecise.
