The Biotack bridle/halter stands out for its flexible, consistent and stable synthetic material. To get the most out of it, precise adjustment is essential to ensure maximum comfort for your horse.

• Headpiece
The headpiece should sit just behind the ears, without pressing on their base or compressing the poll. As Biotack does not deform, incorrect adjustment is immediately noticeable.
→ The headpiece must lie flat, without pulling forward or backward.

• Browband
The browband should fit the forehead without tension.
→ If it is too short, it will pull the headpiece forward and create unnecessary pressure behind the ears.

• Cheekpieces and bit
The cheekpieces must be adjusted symmetrically to position the bit correctly:
- generally 1 to 2 small wrinkles at the corners of the mouth,
- the bit should remain stable, without lifting or pinching.
→ As Biotack is very stable, a poorly positioned bit will not “correct itself” over time: the adjustment must be right from the start.

• Noseband
The noseband should stabilize without tightening.
→ You should be able to fit at least two fingers between the noseband and the horse’s head.
It should not drop towards the nostrils or compress the nasal bridge.

• Final check
Once adjusted, the Biotack bridle should:
- stay properly in place,
- create no pressure points,
- allow the horse to chew, breathe freely and remain relaxed.

A sidepull is preferred when bitless riding is desired, offering a gentler and more direct approach, especially for horses with sensitive mouths, during a break from the bit, young horses in training, or for groundwork and quiet outdoor riding.

A sidepull works by applying pressure to the noseband and is particularly suitable for horses already educated to the aids, with light hands, and those seeking relaxation.

The choice between a sidepull and a snaffle bridle does not depend on the level of control desired, but rather on the horse's comfort, its training, and the objective of the work.

In both cases, a well-adjusted harness and consistent use remain essential for respectful horsemanship.
