• Headpiece

1. The headpiece should rest just behind the ears, without pressing on their base or compressing the poll. Since Biotack does not stretch, an incorrect adjustment will be felt immediately.
→ The headpiece should lie flat, without pulling forwards or backwards.

• Browband

2. The browband should fit snugly against the forehead without tension.
→ If it is too short, it will pull the headpiece forward and create unnecessary pressure behind the ears.

• Cheekpieces and bit

3. The cheekpieces must be adjusted symmetrically to position the bit correctly:
- generally 1 to 2 light creases at the corners of the mouth,
- the bit must remain stable, without riding up or pinching.
→ As Biotack is very stable, a poorly positioned bit will not “correct itself” over time: the adjustment must be right from the start.

• Noseband

4. The noseband should stabilize without being tight.
→ You should be able to fit at least two fingers between the noseband and the horse’s head.
It should not slip down towards the nostrils or compress the bridge of the nose.

• Final check

Once adjusted, the Biotack bridle should:
- stay securely in place,
- create no pressure points,
- allow the horse to chew, breathe freely, and remain relaxed.
